RevMackOre Twitter Change

I started the RevMackOre account as an opportunity to poke the Evangelical Bear with a little satire and maybe a few prophetic jabs. The process of writing challenging and humorous jokes without being mean or heretical in 140 characters or less went from being challenging and fun to just plain challenging. At the same time, many other "funny christian" Twitter accounts opened up, some worth the time and others not. . .

The Rusty Tugboat blog started soon after and became a place where I could write, inject a little humor, and hopefully still prod Churchianity to think a bit more about who we are and what we do. RevMackOre got neglected and became a place to put up blogposts rather than the home for commentary from the Muppets up in the balcony.

During the course of the last three years, I've also written a book for the American Church designed to make us talk, think, and laugh about how to follow Christ in a church culture often lacking conviction or consistent direction. The book is full of satire and allegory, and many of the quips of RevMackOre found their way in some form into the fictional narrative. (I'm hoping the book will be available this summer.)

So, the time has come for me to officially turn RevMackOre into an account I actually utilize more proactively for talking, thinking, laughing, networking, etc. Much of the original MackOre humor you signed up for does show up in other venues (book, blog, and through my speaking) but will not be the primary type of tweets on this account anymore. If you stop following, I understand. The name will be @lesswithoutyou which will coincide with my website and my heart for God's Kingdom community.

Thanks for reading and following. If you want more info: www.lesswithoutyou.com
